What I do
I have over 30 years of experience working with soil and root issues in urban trees as a researcher, consultant, and university professor. I provide expert advice to help you solve complex urban landscape challenges.
My research and practice include working with engineered soils for stormwater management, root-infrastructure conflicts, and managing trees in dense urban environments (such as streetscapes), and during land development.
Soil compaction and soil disturbance are primary causes of poor outcomes. I can help you mitigate problems arising from poor soil conditions and help you create management strategies for a wide variety of environmental challenges that can impact urban trees.
